Terms and Conditions

In short
By using ErasBook you accept these Terms. ErasBook offers you a platform to connect with other users, book accommodation, communicate, and study together. We ask you to respect the community and the rules described below.
Important note: ErasBook is in no way affiliated, associated, or connected with the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union or any governmental institution. ErasBook is a completely independent service operated by World in a Point Ltd.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") govern access to and use of the ErasBook platform, including the website, applications, and all related services (hereinafter "Services"), provided by World in a Point Ltd, registered at 20 Princes Avenue, Liverpool, L8 2TB, United Kingdom.
By accessing or using the Services, you fully accept these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the Services.
2. Our Services
- Social Network: personal profile, feed, posts, friendships, and social interactions
- Accommodation Booking: search, booking, and management of hotels, B&Bs, apartments, and hostels
- Messaging: private and group chat between users
- Video Calls: audio/video communication between users
- Study Room: shared virtual study rooms
- Groups and Circles: thematic communities and interest groups
- Host Services: property management, bookings, pricing, and calendars
3. Who can use ErasBook
3.1 Age requirements
ErasBook is restricted to persons aged 15 years or older. Registration is prohibited for anyone under 15. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 15 years old.
3.2 Account rules
- Provide accurate and truthful information upon registration
- Use your real name
- Create only one personal account
- Do not share your login credentials with others
- Keep your information up to date
4. Behaviour and content rules
4.1 Prohibited content
You agree not to publish, share, or promote through the Services any content that includes:
- Violence of any kind, including incitement to violence and threats
- Child abuse and any form of child exploitation
- Pornography and sexually explicit content
- Antisemitism, racism, discrimination, and hatred towards any ethnic, religious, gender, or sexual orientation group
- Terrorism and incitement to illegal activities
- Bullying, harassment, and intimidation of other users
- Spam, phishing, scams, and fraudulent content
- Illegal content under applicable law
4.2 Reporting system
- Every user can report inappropriate content or behaviour
- When a user accumulates a significant number of reports (between 10 and 20), their account is automatically suspended for review by our moderation team
- The team may: remove content, issue a warning, temporarily suspend, or permanently delete the account
4.3 Cooperation with authorities
In the case of content or behaviour constituting a criminal offence, or upon legitimate request from law enforcement or judicial authorities, ErasBook will fully cooperate by providing the data necessary for investigations, in compliance with applicable laws.
5. Accommodation Booking Service
5.1 Role of ErasBook
ErasBook acts as an intermediary between guests and hosts (property owners). ErasBook does not own, manage, or control the properties listed on the platform.
5.2 Bookings and payments
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe
- ErasBook does not store credit card data
- ErasBook applies a commission on the accommodation price, varying by category (5% to 12%)
5.3 Cancellations
Each host defines their own cancellation policy. You have the right of withdrawal within 14 days of booking, under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, unless the service has already been used.
6. Host Services
- Hosts must provide accurate and up-to-date property information
- Hosts are responsible for compliance with local regulations
- Hosts accept ErasBook's commissions based on the selected category
- Hosts must honour confirmed bookings
7. Communications and Messaging
- Private messages are confidential between participants
- ErasBook does not proactively monitor private message content
- Upon report, ErasBook may review relevant messages to assess violations
- Using messaging for spam, harassment, or illegal activities is prohibited
8. Study Room and Video Calls
- Study rooms are shared study spaces; users must maintain respectful behaviour
- Recording video calls or study rooms without explicit consent from all participants is prohibited
- ErasBook does not record or store video call content
9. Groups and Circles
- Group and circle creators/moderators are responsible for rule enforcement within their spaces
- ErasBook reserves the right to remove groups or circles that violate these Terms
- General platform rules apply within groups and circles
10. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you publish on ErasBook. By publishing, you grant ErasBook a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute such content for providing the Services.
The ErasBook brand, design, software, and all original platform content are owned by World in a Point Ltd.
11. Limitation of liability
ErasBook provides the Services "as is". To the extent permitted by law:
- ErasBook does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Services
- ErasBook is not responsible for user-published content
- ErasBook is not responsible for the quality of host-listed properties
- Maximum liability is limited to amounts paid in the preceding 12 months
12. Account suspension and deletion
ErasBook reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of Terms violation, accumulated reports, security risks, fraudulent use, or authority request.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion will result in data removal as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. For substantial changes, we will notify users via email or platform notification with at least 30 days' notice.
14. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. For EU-resident users, EU consumer protections also apply.
